Specimen Type/Requirements

Sterile or non-sterile specimen container - Entire dried calculi (stone) specimen

Specimen must be sent clean and dry.

Do not place stone directly in a plastic bag. Do not use tape to secure the stone.
Do not send stone embedded in tissue. Do not send in or with collection devices (filters or screens).

Do not send stone in any fluid or liquid, or with significant non-stone debris.

NOTE:  The source/type of stone is REQUIRED. (i.e. salivary, mandible, submandibular, gallbladder)
