The drug Fulvestrant interferes with the measurement of Estradiol in this assay. If patient has taken this medication recommend using an alternate method to measure Estradiol.
Patient treated with Mifepristone should not be tested with this assay for up to two weeks after the last dose to prevent falsely elevated Estradiol results.
Test is affected by gross hemolysis and gross lipemia.
